Volunteer Opportunities The Friends Of Hackley Public Library enlists the help of many dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers to meet our goals. Volunteers bring a variety of skills, background and experience that help us plan and present numerous events and activities each year. Annual Book Sale and Bling Thing event
Help with pre-sale sorting - fall through spring
Be a member of the Book Sale and/or Bling Thing event planning committees
Help staff for either or both sales events: set-up, customer help, bagging, checkout, take down, etc.
Other Fundraising or Social Events
The Friends continually look for new and creative ways to raise funds to support Hackley Public Library. We welcome your ideas and your help on planning committees and during events. Examples might be a downtown Happy Hour, Ice Cream Social, etc.
Membership Outreach/Marketing
Staff a Friends membership table at library or Friends events, help prepare quarterly newsletters, assist with mailings, distribute event posters to community businesses, etc.
Fundraising
Help recruit Corporate Members and Event Sponsors
Research and/or write grants
Technology/Social Media
Act as Event photographer, become an administrator or editor for our Website or Facebook and other social media page updates, assist with posters, graphics and printing needs, help with newsletter layout preparation, assist with email announcements to members.
Join the Board
Friends of the Library Board, by invite and application as openings permit (meets monthly 10-12 months per year)
